Description
Linea Scarf Triangular is a beautiful triangular scarf with a simple yet expressive pattern. The pattern consists of pattern segments made up of stockinette stitches, with the smooth side on the wrong side, and rows of chain stitches (woven stitches/elongated stitches/slip stitches). The chain stitches are formed by knitting a stitch on the right side and slipping it purlwise with the yarn in front on the wrong side. As a result, the chain stitches are worked only every other row, making them twice as long as the other stitches. These elongated stitches stand out beautifully on the reverse side of the stockinette fabric. The pattern segments radiate from a center stitch (a chain stitch) and from the shawl’s upper I-cord edge. As the shawl grows, more and more pattern segments are added.
The scarf is framed by a neat I-cord edge along both its upper and lower edges. The I-cord edge along the upper edge is worked as you go - at the beginning and end of every row. The I-cord edge along the lower edge is worked at the end as a finishing detail and thus functions as the scarf’s bind-off. (This I-cord edge may optionally be worked in a contrasting color.)
The pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes (bandana, scarf, shawl), but since the scarf is knit from the center outward and from top to bottom, the size is easy to adjust to your personal preference.
The pattern includes a chart, written instructions, and video links showing the different steps and techniques.
The pattern also includes instructions for adding an I-cord tie in size 3, allowing the large shawl to be tied around the body.
Sizes

Finished Measurements
Length: Approx. 90 (110) 140 cm.
Height: Approx. 40 (50) 65 cm.
These measurements are when the scarf is washed and blocked.
Materials
50 (100) 100 g Spinni from Isager yarn (300 m/50 g) or a similar thin wool thread held together with 25 (50) 75 g Silk Mohair from Isager Yarn (212 m/25 g) or a similar silk mohair thread.
The finished scarf uses approximately 210 (340) 560 meters of each yarn quality.
Note! If size 2 is knit one pattern repeat shorter than specified in the pattern, the yarn usage can be kept within the 300 meters provided by a 50 g Spinni skein. In that case, the scarf will be approximately 10 cm shorter in length and 5 cm shorter in height than stated. The overall look will be much the same when the scarf is tied around the neck; however, if you also wish to use the scarf as a headscarf, a bit of extra length is preferable. In that case, I recommend following the pattern instructions as written, which will require 100 g of Spinni.
The olive-green bandana (size 1) is knitted in Spinni color 4 and Silk Mohair color 68.
The brown scarf (size 2) is knitted in Spinni and Silk Mohair color 34.
The light rose shawl (size 3) is knitted in Spinni color 58 and Silk Mohair color 62.
You may also choose to use yarns other than those suggested in the pattern. Depending on your yarn choice, you may need to change needle size and work more or fewer pattern repeats to reach the listed sizes, and the finished scarf may be lighter or heavier.
Recommended Needles
Circular needle 3,5 mm (80-100 cm) for Stockinette Stitch interrupted by slipped stitches, worked flat in Spinni and Silk Mohair held together.
Gauge
Approx. 19 x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm on size 3,5 mm needles in pattern (flat).
This gauge is when the scarf is washed and blocked.
