Crassus Blouse PDF english version
Description
Crassus Blouse is a feminine drop-shoulder blouse with a boat neck and added sleeves, knitted in stockinette stitch.
The blouse is knitted from the top down, with increases on each side of three shoulder stitches. First, knit the yoke back and forth using short rows to shape the neckline. It is then knitted in the round until the yoke has reached the correct width, after which the shoulder increases are discontinued. Then knit the front and back separately, back and forth, until the armhole reaches the correct depth. Shape the armholes, then join the work and knit in the round. Finish the body with an I-Cord edge. Pick up stitches along the armholes for the sleeves. Shape the sleeve cap using short rows, then work decreases continuously under the sleeve so it gradually narrows. Finish the sleeves with I-Cord edges. Pick up stitches along the neckline, then finish with an I-Cord edge, just like the body and sleeves.
The design is intended to have a slightly cropped body and ¾-length sleeves, but since the blouse is knitted from the top down, you can easily adjust the lengths to your preferences.
The pattern also includes instructions for a modified version with a slightly A-line shaped body.
The pattern includes English-language video tutorials for all techniques used to knit the blouse.

Materials
200 (200) 250 (250) 250 (250) 300 g Merilin (80% wool, 20% linen) from Isager Yarn (208 m/50 g) or 150 (150) 150 (200) 200 (200) 200 Spinni from Isager Yarn (300 m/50 g)
held together with
100 (100) 100 (125) 125 (125) 150 g Silk Mohair from Isager Yarn (212 m/25 g)
and
100 (100) 125 (125) 150 (175) 175 g Mulberry Silk from Isager Yarn (210 m/25 g) or 100 (100) 150 (150) 150 (200) 200 g Trio 1 (50% linen, 30% cotton, 20% lyocell) from Isager Yarn (350 m/50 g).
The blouse in the main photo is knitted with 1 strand of Merilin, color 9s, 1 strand of Silk Mohair, color 4, and 1 strand of Mulberry Silk, color Khaki.
The black blouse with the A-line shaped body is knitted holding 1 strand of Spinni, color 30, 1 strand of Silk Mohair, color 30, and 1 strand of Trio 1, color Ink, together.
For a slightly thinner blouse, you can also knit with just 2 strands held together, such as Merilin and Silk Mohair, Spinni and Silk Mohair, or Mulberry Silk and Silk Mohair. You may need to use needles 0.5 mm larger than those used for the version knitted with 3 strands, and the fabric will not have quite the same drape as the thicker version.
If you prefer a blouse without silk mohair, you can replace this strand with, for example, Mulberry Silk or Alpaca 1 (400 m/50 g).
All yarns are from Isager Yarn.
In addition to yarn, you will need 5 stitch markers, 2 of which should open like safety pins.
Suggested Needles
The blouse is knitted in stockinette stitch back and forth and in the round on a 4 mm (80 cm) circular needle with 1 strand of Merilin, 1 strand of Mulberry Silk, and 1 strand of Silk Mohair held together.
It is recommended to use 2 circular needles in 4 mm so stitches that need to rest during the process can stay on one needle while you knit with the other, but you can also use a cord or stitch-holder wire.
Gauge
Approx. 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4 mm needles, worked back and forth and in the round in stockinette stitch.
