Description:
The Fungus Beanie is a pretty, simple, and slightly baggy beanie, which fits perfectly due to the wide, three-double-ribbed hem – folded and knitted together and then again folded which adds another layer to the hem.
The beanie also has a beautiful moss stitch pattern doubled in the height.

Finished measurements:
Fits a head circumference of approx. 50-55 (56-60) cm
Materials:
50 g of Silk Mohair 210 m/25 g Tilia from Filcolana or another Silk Mohair quality, e.g., No. 10 from Önling 210 m/25 g or Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive 225 m/25 g– two threads held together
or:
50 g of Alpaca 1 400 m/50 g from Isager Yarn and 25 g of Silk Mohair 210 m/25 g held together.
The pictured model is knit in 2 threads of Tilia (Silk Mohair) in the color Coffee.
You can choose any other yarn if you obtain the correct gauge.
You will also need 8 stitch markers to knit this beanie.
Recommended needles:
The beanie is knit on a circular needle (80 cm) size 3.5 mm when knitting the ribbed hem (k1, p1) and on a circular needle (80 cm) size 4 mm when knitting the moss stitch pattern. You will be using the magic loop method, otherwise use a 40 cm circular needle.
Gauge:
The beanie is worked in rib (k1, p1) in the round on a needle size 3.5 mm. Gauge for rib on needle size 3.5 mm: approx. 25 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
The beanie is also worked in a moss stitch pattern on a needle size 4 mm. Gauge for the moss stitch pattern on a needle size 4 mm: approx. 20 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
